My favorite little humans! My one year old nephew named Alex and my 5 month old niece named Olivia have been the biggest blessing in my life so far and I miss them dearly but spoil them rotten when I do see them.

My name is Christian Diaz-Ortega, I am currently a junior standing here at UNLV. I currently live here in Las Vegas but am originally born and raised in sunny Los Angeles, CA. I moved to Las Vegas to pursue my career in Hospitality and have loved living here ever since. With my career in Hospitality, I hope to move forward into executive positions amongst the departments I love the most with my ultimate career goal being to be apart of the opening team for a brand new hotel.

When I get the opportunity, I will always immerse myself into the dazzling silver screen. I frequent the movies often, mainly for horror movies, and consider it to be my most relaxing hobby.

No Place Like Home
Although Las Vegas has been wonderful so far, for me there is no place like home. I always take at least two days out of every month or two to go home and catch up with everyone and remind myself why I love the City of Angels so much... except for the traffic. Eugh.

I have worn many hats throughout my career, each of which has taught me something different about myself, both personally and professionally.
Where am I currently? Over at Park MGM, in the heart of Eataly, you will find me preparing the most delicious coffee all while providing timely customer service as a full-time Barista!

The Walt Disney Company (2019-2021)
Before moving to Las Vegas, I had the honor of working at the Disneyland Resort as an Attractions Host! I was consistently working with Guests and helping them all in a timely manner with any concerns, fixing any issues through the concept of "making magic", and was consistently informed and educated on the parks and the surrounding areas and any changes that were set to happen at both Disneyland and California Adventure!

Starbucks (2021 - 2022)
Springing forward my love for coffee, during a small portion of the year before my transition to Las Vegas, I found myself working at Starbucks as a barista... and loving every second of it. Not only did it give me more experience in speaking to customers, but it also gave me my familiarity with the famous Point of Sale system and strengthened my cash handling experience.
